Bio. Statement.

Ana Crețu (b. 2004, Romania) is a multidisciplinary artist, cultural worker and co-founder of independent artist-run space Punct. She has a BA in Graphics at the Faculty of Arts and Design in Timișoara and is currently doing an MA in Curating and Cultural Heritage.

Her artistic practice ranges from engraving, drawing and bookbinding to installation, performance and found objects, in a wide array of combinations. Her work targets the complicated relationships between technology and nature, anthropic constructions and humanity, the collective memory of industrial spaces and the fragmented remembering of her own past, on a gradient between the fear of the unknown and curiosity for the future.

As part of her cultural practice, she has experience in cultural mediation in art galleries and she co-curates and managing events and exhibitions at Punct. Artist-run Space, a small hub working to create communities around art, zines and expression in Timișoara and to democratize the access to artistic manifestations.
