The Timișoara Leather Factory, I.R.P. SA., was formed in 1933 through the merger of Arnold Deutsch Tannery, founded in 1895, and Gheorghe Krausz’s Leather Factory, founded in 1922, resulting in the establishment of Industria Română de Piele SA. Over time, the complex was expanded and modernized; however, it is currently decommissioned and in an advanced state of deterioration. Despite its condition, many of its rooms and industrial halls continue to be rented out, not only to various groups of artists, but also to small craft-based businesses.

The frottage technique, attributed to Max Ernst, searches to capture the texture of real life surfaces, as the paper or canvas allows it. The ink based imprints communicate with the memory of the space, freezing passing textures of decay and abandonment in the paper, a visual documentation of the building.
